RMBIO’s thrombin from bovine plasma has a wide range of applications and is offered as a freeze-dried product.
Bovine thrombin is an enzyme that activates factor XIII and converts fibrinogen into fibrin. Therefore, its primary use is in the defibrination of plasma to produce serum matrixes to be used as controls and standards.
- 60k-200k US units/mg protein determined by coagulation assay using NIH standard (Lot K)

- Utilized in clotting studies, as a coagulation protein, and in antibody production.
